Bothwell Castle Golf Club - Review

As I stupidly locked myself out on Friday night I stayed at my friend’s house.  However, I awoke with a cup of tea and the offer of breakfast as my friend’s fiancé is probably the world’s greatest host. 

My phone rang and it was Douglas (my employer from Friday night).  Douglas has never contacted me via email but although I can’t prove he said this, it is probably the best compliment I’ve had in magic.  So I’ve decided to Blog it. 

The line my whole aim in magic is all about is what he said: 

“The only thing that was as good as your tricks was your presentation”

Some magicians perform great tricks but there presentation isn’t great but they get away with it because the tricks are so strong.  The great performers don’t stand out when the effect is too strong so they tend to chose weaker effects to allow them to stand out more.  My ultimate aim in magic is to perform world class magic with world class presentation.  If I can do this and not lock myself out, I’ll be a happy man.
