I’m just back after a 3 day stretch entertaining in the new G Casino in Dundee. Myself and Edinburgh magician Ian Kendell, were luckily enough to entertain at the VIP opening on Thursday and the following two nights. It was great working alongside another professional magician, 2 flair waiters and 2 great singers/performers. G Casino’s theory is to provide an entertainment venue rather than just a casino. The theory certainly paid off as lots of the guests said they didn’t gamble but there partners did. This meant the boyfriends could go and play poker and the girlfriends could watch the flair waiters juggling the bottles or even get some world class magic performed in their own hands. My favourite groups were the two Ashley’s who loved my new pendulum trick, Katie - the sceptical psychology student and the Holly Valance ‘look a like’ who didn’t even know who Holly Valance was. Just like to say a big thank you to the staff who also fed us. If you ever get the chance to visit the G Casino in Dundee, have the chicken in plum sauce and always bet on 34. Yum Yum.
