The Stand November 10th Red Raw

Hello and thanks to all the lovely people who came along to show their support at my debut at the Stand Comedy Club.  For those of you who don’t know The Stand is the Comedy Club that all the comedians want to play when they come to Glasgow.  So I’ve now stood on the same stage as the likes as Frankie Boyle and Dara O’brien. 

Luckily for me the compere was one of my all time favourite acts, Scott Agnew.  I performed with Scott a few years ago and I loved his act and just being in his presence was enough to get me in to mood. 

The highlight of my night was being in the backstage dressing room.  I’ve always wanted to know what was behind the curtain of the stage entrance and now I know.

One of the other acts had brought a Big Issue with her and said to Scott,

“Did you see your article in The Big Issue”

Scott Replied,

“In it? I’m surprised I’m not selling it!”

Which for me was the joke of the night. 

So I was on first and pretty much nailed the act although still need to find a killer ending.  I’m performing it again in a few weeks time on December 8^th.  It would be great if you could make it.  If you can, please reserve your tickets and arrive on time as there were about a dozen folk who came to see me the last time that got knocked back.  Also on the day of shows I need to mentally prepare and will bark at you if you phone me to ask me a question.
